For International Students

There are plenty of support services catered to the needs of international students. This can range from development training and workshops for improving language and academic skills to other services needed while studying and even after graduation. A list of sample services and topics being offered to students include:

Settlement and Academic Support

  • Students can avail of orientations on academic life in Canada including a 101 on Canadian culture and cross-cultural communication and support when it comes to settling in with campus life and finding in-campus or near campus accommodation. English language training both for academic and professional contexts are also available. Working students may also apply for sessions on how to apply and renew for student working permits and other job opportunities.

Permanent Residency Application

  • There are also services catered for students looking to extend their stay in Canada or even apply for permanent residency. Some programs have support for credential evaluation, orientations on application requirements as well as referrals on contacts that can assist with long-term settlement, career path and professional certification among others.
